Bradley Interface
Knowing and understanding the correct terms to use, getting help for their computer programs is much easier. Not knowing how to properly describe the problem to technical assistance is one of the biggest problems for new computer users. Below you will find the correct terminology for the components common software.
1. User Interface
This is the visual exterior design programs. It can contain buttons, icons, pictures, words and pictures. If enough memory your PC experience, there may be black rectangles that appear through the user interface of your software programs.
2. Menu Bar
This will display the menu items or options. The most common parts of a menu bar to access the commands File, Save command, and commands Commands Open print. An error in this part of the interface will produce an option that is missing or a lighter color.
3. Title Bar
This is the area at the top of the program where your name is displayed and where it may be a description of the contents displayed on the interface. A program coded incorrectly can cause a bad description in this part of its interface.
4. Status Bar
This is at the bottom of the interface generally show small messages, indicating the progress of an order or task. Incorrectly programmed software may display incorrect information in this area.
5. Tool Bar
This will show small icons at the top of the screen as instruments of representation. Clicking on an icon, open a tool or a command processes that may also exist in the menu bar. Problems in this part of the interface are rare.
6. Minimize, Restore, and exit buttons
These three buttons are usually located in the upper right of the program interface, you can minimize each the screen to restore the original size, or close the program down.
7. Contextual Menu
Click on something will show the context menu. It shows so much like a help menu.
8. Scroll bar
This tool allows the user to move the interface represented user up and down on the computer screen.
9. Buttons
Buttons perform commands with the click of a mouse. Problems may exist when the button text appears in gray or does not seem to sink into a screen when clicked.
10. Input Box
These usually small rectangles to allow data entry in a web page interface. If you can not use one of these boxes, this may indicate that the program is faulty or that communication with the external network has been compromised.
11. Checkbox
This painting small number of options. Clicking brings up a small x in a box, you can choose between many options displayed on the user interface. Inability to enter an X may indicate that the program has stopped working and restarts.
