When I say pocket jacks, I mean two Jacks, the pre-flop in Texas Hold'em. This is the fifth best hand of Texas Hold'em and, in general, I would say that you should never fold this hand (especially in Hold'em). But it's definitely one of those hands have to be careful.

Pocket Jacks is particularly difficult for one main reason. The most important thing to realize this change is that if you lift too much with this hand, usually the only people who will call people who can beat you. Therefore, I suggest a small increase or possibly a re-raise preflop with that hand.

Before the flop, the success of Texas Hold'em strategy is quite simple using the top ten hand strategy. In general, you should increase every time you have a top ten by hand and must bend the rest of your hands to any increase in salary. It is because of this basic strategy of Texas Hold'em, this increase with pocket jacks is especially important.

Increase too big and gets a call, then you're starting from behind. Large enough not lift a hand and someone will catch up with you on the flop and then you have no choice but to withdraw.

Consider this scenario. You raise a small amount on the button with pocket jacks and you have two callers. The flop comes and brings an ace (not cats), the person in first position bets half the pot. How can you take a bet like this size with only a low-par? The fact is that you can not.

A higher bid would have scared off someone say, Ace-Six, as pocket cards.

Probably the best way to avoid having misplaying this hand is a good read of your opponents. This reading will allow you to make a bet right, make sure the game successfully of pocket jacks.
