So you're an absolute beginner in the Enneagram … YouÂ've heard how amazing and helpful it can be, but really arenÂ't sure what the big deal isa … Well if you want to get the absolute foundation of the Enneagram, then grabs a chair and read on.

Before continuing, IÂ'd I will mention that there are a number of different ways of interpreting what we know about the Enneagram. There are a few different "schools of thought" in the subject no doubt to discover more about how to pursue the subject. With that being said, what is about to read is tired, obstinate, only partially informed, but wait long enough nine-pointed symbol that has appeared in many religions in the past millennia. Nobody knows for certain how the ancients came up with the study or how it used to very recently. Enneagram Spectrum summarizes the speculation about the origin of the Enneagram as follows:

Â "The roots of the Enneagram are disputed. Some authors believe they have found variations in the symbol of the Enneagram in the sacred geometry of the Pythagoreans, who 4000 years ago were interested in the larger meaning depth and meaning of numbers. This line of mystical mathematics was passed on through Plato, Plotinus, his disciple, and neo-Platonic later.

Some believe that this tradition found its way into esoteric Judaism through Philo, a Jewish neo-Platonic philosopher, where he later appears as the Tree of Life in ninefoldness Kabbalistic symbolism.

Variations of this symbol also appears in the traditions Islamic Sufi, perhaps arriving there via the Arab philosopher Al-Ghazali. Around the fourteenth century, the Naqshbandi Sufi Order, also known as the "Brotherhood of the Bees to" (because they collect and store the knowledge) and A "Symbolists" (because it teaches through symbols) is said to preserve and transmit the symbol of the Enneagram.

Speculation the Enneagram has found its way into esoteric Christianity through Pseudo-Dionysius (who was influenced by the Neoplatonists) and the mystic Ramon Llull (who was influenced by his Islamic studies.)

In recent years, The Enneagram was a "re-discoveredÂ" by Oscar Ichazo, a Chilean philosopher who teaches at the Institute of Arica in Chile. Ichazo, I think, was the first person who really laws apply to the nine Enneagram laws operating within the human psyche.
The way the Enneagram is understood today is that it is a tool to help understand and new items "filters" that anyone can use to see the world. These filters are fluid, intangible assets that may or may not exist in reality, however, using such tools can achieve dramatic achievements in relationships or personal growth.

I think to compare these filters to a "systems of operation "of computers is a great way to understand it. Some people are running Windows, some people are running Linux, and some people are using an Apple computer. ItÂ all just different ways to take sensory information, organization, and react.

The beauty of this study is that when you can express the deepest feelings and thoughts of his friends, loved ones, and specifically to yourself, bring a perspective that wasnÂ't there before. You can see clearly. As never beforeÂ …

Different schools take the Enneagram in many different directions. Some offer advice on how professional success, some offer is for life coaches help their clients with information. Some push their limits by finding the points in your personality that you can use to take shape. Many schools and do many other things that are outside the scope of this Guide BeginnerÂ Absolute. They are there to help you discover, enjoy, and to report on.

Now I will mention to you that this is only the briefest of overviews. There is much to understand and live more before starting to reap the benefits of the Enneagram. However, I can assure you, with enough time and energy and self-consciousness, the Enneagram is a path towards peace and joy stronger than anything ever discovered IÂ've.
